Pew 2 Pulpit Ministries’ purpose is to evangelize and equip devoted individuals to be soul winners and strong Christian soldiers for the Lord. We call this ministry “Pew 2 Pulpit” because no matter what the format is, whether it is in the church building, on the corner or seated on the bus, we want to effectively minister to the hurting, the disenfranchised or the executive at starbucks. Wherever we are, that is our pulpit. We are not scholastic educators or a seminary professors, but ministry minded individuals who know we have been commissioned by Christ to teach and make disciples for the Lord (Matthew 28:19-20, Mark 16:15-16, Luke 24:46-49, Acts 1:7-8) Through bible studies, evangelism, and witnessing, it is our desire to fulfill the decree given to Timothy by Paul (2 Timothy 2:15).
“Study to show thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.”
Study means to research in detail through reading, investigating and reflecting attentively with the intention of learning. Through bible studies, we apply ourselves to acquire knowledge of the illuminated Word of God. Without infringing any denominational doctrine, we want to look directly at what the Word of God says, every jot and tittle, line upon line precept upon precept (Isaiah 28:10,13) and learn how it applies to our lives. We want to present ourselves as favorable and worthy vessels of honor unto the Lord (2 Timothy 2:21-22), and answer the calling as God’s Workman. How do we accomplish this? By illustrating that God has called and anointed us to be his workmen (John 15:16); given a ministry (2 Corinthian 5:18) and empowered to carry out this ministry (Acts 1:8) to all people. Understanding these principles, we will evangelize by rightly (through accurate study) dividing (appropriately distributing) the word of truth to the world so that all may hear, receive, repent and be transformed by the renewing of their minds (Romans 12:1-2) and for eternal life which is the ultimate goal.
